VrUnity PRO Alpha Release - webnetics - 13-11-15

We are proud to announce the first Alpha release of VrUnity PRO. This version will include a number of features, still a bit ruff around the edges.

VrUnity was developed for our own in—house projects, to track our own source code and images, when we were developing software for clients, we found existing systems difficult to install or overly complicated. We needed a system, which we could edit and makes changes to and needed to run on a local host.

VrUnity is written in PHP and MySQL Database to store the files and control the versions of the file. We are planning to release a new version of VrUnity within the next 4 months. The Alpha released version will have all the features which we currently use in-house, but need to be tidy up before a general public release, i.e interface will need tidying up, etc. Currently VrUnity has the following features:

  • Encrypt Files using in built emption system
  • Check-In / Check-Out - File locking by user
  • PHP code is given coloured highlighting when viewing the file.
  • Go back to any previous version - of any file or project.
  • Output Macros.- Include meta info in output source files (File name, path, version, project version). Macros are automatically reverted when checking code in.
  • File Branching.
